CONGRESS VENUE (Versión en Español)

The Congress is structured in two clearly differentiated parts.  The first, to be held exclusively in the University Campus of Rabanales belonging to the University of Córdoba, on 9th and 10th November, 2005, and the second, a Day in the Field, with a demonstration of machinery and equipment on a farm where there are representative examples of conservation agriculture, on 11th November, 2005.

How do I get to the Congress?:

 

There are several possibilities for getting to the Congress venue:

 

By road: 

The old road IV, direction Madrid, the campus is located at km 396.

 

By bus

The number E bus which starts from the Plaza de Colón and stops at the Campus of Rabanales.

 

Local train:

There are trains daily from Córdoba station to the Campus. The timetable at present is the following:(click here)

 

 

How does one get to Córdoba?:

 

Córdoba is in a privileged geographical position.  Located at the south-western end of the continent of  Europe, the city is a strategic area of communications between Europe and Africa, being perfectly linked up by road and train, and at less than 2 hours from the nearest airport.

 

By road:

From Madrid:  you arrive at the city via the A-4 Motorway of Andalusia.

From Valencia: the best option is to take the A 3 direction Madrid, then the N-310 at Motilla del Palancar, which leads to the A-4, Motorway of Andalusia.  

From Murcia and Alicante: the best way is the A-92, which links Puerto Lumbreras with the west of Andalusia.  At Antequera (Málaga) take road 331, direction Córdoba. Some stretches of it can be used and are part of the future Córdoba-Málaga motorway.

From Portugal and Extremadura: the province of Córdoba is reached through its northern area by road 432, work on it has recently finished with a layout and roadbed in  good conditions. 

From the Portuguese Algarve and Huelva: Taking the V Centenario motorway to Seville and joining up with the N-IV.

From Seville, Cádiz and Gibraltar: by the N-IV direction Madrid.

 

By train:

High speed line AVE from Madrid and Seville. National lines with connections to any city in Spain.

 

By air:

The following are the airports nearest to Córdoba:

 

Seville airport, 130 km from Córdoba by the  A-4

Granada airport, 160 Km from Córdoba by the N-432

Jerez de la Frontera airport,  222 km from Córdoba by the A 4
